Live-In Caregiver Application
Live-in caregivers are individuals that are qualified care for children, elderly persons or persons with disabilities, in private homes without supervision. These individuals are being sponsored by their employers and live in the private household in Canada. People applying for a work permit under this category must meet certain conditions, such as secondary school completion, work experience, or training.

To qualify for this status in Canada the individual has to apply to the Human Resources and Skills Development Canada/Service Canada in order to obtain a labor marker opinion, based on an employment contract.

Permanent Resident Status
The live in caregiver may apply for permanent resident status after working for 2 years within the 3 year period of entering Canada.

For more information regarding immigration to Canada under this category complete the self assessment application on Mr. Tencer’s website and email us with your relevant background as a Live in Caregiver or details regarding the individual you wish to sponsor under this category.
